Frome amongst 114 HSBC banks set to close

HSBC has announced the closure of over 100 of its banks, starting from April 2023.

The well-known banking company will close its doors on one hundred and fourteen of its branches throughout the UK, following a decline in customers since the pandemic.

Frome HSBC, which sits in an old, central building in the town, has been announced as one of the branches set to close in the region.

At the time of writing, Bath was saved from axing and will be part of three hundred and twenty seven branches to benefit from the banking giants investment in the aim of improving the remaining branches.
