A charity retreat day will be taking place to raise money for the Teen Yoga Foundation, which is helping depressed and anxious children in schools through yoga.

The day, which takes place on Sunday, 3rd September at Dunkerton Hall from 9.30 a.m. – 5 p.m. will offer a rest and rejuvenation with tasty vegetarian food, tea and cakes, walking meditation, yoga nidra and candlelit restorative yoga.

One of the children’s parents, who is helping to raise funds, said: “Life can be very stressful at times for teenagers and they may need to speak to someone outside of the family about their concerns (Off the Record) and if we can get it in to schools, hopefully the yoga sessions might be able to teach them relaxation and wellbeing techniques.”

The money raised on the day will be donated to Off the Record B&NES, to help them continue to provide a listening service for local young people and the Teen Yoga Foundation, who are aiming to provide subsidised yoga classes for young people in the area.
