Residents and guests at Bloomfield Care Home in Paulton enjoyed a night of gins with an in-house gin tasting that took place at the home.

Sampling from a selection of fifteen different gins, residents were able to try the different flavours (both British gins and international ones) and learn the different notes and blends, including floral and fruity distils, to zesty, bitter and earthy combinations.

Gin and canapés were provided alongside musical entertainment from music therapist, Julie, who serenaded residents. The hospitality team at the home provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats to complement the gin selection.

General Manager, Gabor Benke, said: “Our residents and guests had a wonderful time learning everything they could about gin. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Bloomfield as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites!”
