After warning last month that funding could be lost for the new Doctor’s Surgery at Waterloo Road, Radstock, Hope House Surgery has confirmed that NHS England has approved the first stage of funding for the new building.
Practice Manager at Hope House Surgery, Stephanie Coombs, told The Journal: “We are very pleased to have received confirmation this week from NHS England that they have approved funding for the first stage of the new build of the Health and Community Centre at Waterloo Road.
“This approval is subject to some conditions, and we will expect to receive full details of these very shortly.
“The partners and staff at the surgery are thrilled that this long-awaited project can now move forward, providing improved facilities and access to health care for the residents of Radstock and surrounding area.
“As soon as there is an update, we will let everyone know.”
