Equestrians in Chilcompton, are planning to help raise awareness of a campaign on Saturday, 10th, September. Changes mean that riders, and cyclist should be passed safely, by other road users.
Horse riders need to use roads to access grazing, and the few bridleway that are left - road users are advised to pass at no more than 10mph, and 2 metres width, where possible. The ride also helps to remind riders of the need for Hiviz, and use safe practices.
Somerset County Councillor, a keen cyclist, is also in support, and we would like to say a massive thank you to village businesses Champions, who have funded the banner, and Massey Wilcox and Robert Wilcox, for help with a lorry to join the ride.
Contact 0781 3696802 if you would like to join the ride, make a donation or volunteer to help.
