A LOCAL hospice charity is calling on supporters to hold a coffee morning to raise vital funds.
Whether you’re looking for a tasty way to fundraise for Dorothy House, or you just simply love a slice of cake, hosting a Dorothy House Coffee Morning might just be the perfect opportunity!
They said: “Holding a coffee morning is a fun and rewarding way to help raise vital funds for the local Dorothy House Hospice Care, supporting us as we continue to deliver our work in our local community.
“On 1 May 2023 we celebrated our 47th birthday and we’d love you to celebrate with us by getting together with colleagues, friends and family and hosting your own Dorothy House Coffee Morning.
“You can hold a coffee morning (or other social event!) at home, in your workplace or even at school.
“In the pack, we’ve included everything you need – well, except the coffee! So pop the kettle on, stick the cakes in the oven and get those biccies out!
“Your fundraising event will help support our mission to ensure everyone across our 700sq mile patch has access to outstanding palliative and end of life care.
“Did you know, £203 could fund a compassionate, skilled and experienced Hospice at Home Carer to provide care overnight, enabling a patient to stay at home at the end of their life.
“And £500 could fund an expert counsellor to run seven support group sessions for young adults with a life-limiting illness, helping them to feel less alone.
“We can’t do this without your help! So now is the time to come together with friends, family and colleagues to host your very own Dorothy House Coffee Morning.”
