Local author, Janet Tanner, was a popular speaker at Midsomer Norton and Radstock Inner Wheel’s April meeting, when she also signed copies of her books and raised £50 for the club’s charities.

Janet began writing stories for her friends while still at school, progressing to short stories for womens’ magazines and, under the name of Jade Shannon, Mills and Boon style bodice rippers.

While bringing up her two daughters, it took her three years to complete a full length novel in her own name and since then she has written under the pseudonyms Amelia Carr and Jenny Felton. as different publishers have wanted various genres.

Her stories abound with family sagas, the first centred around Radstock and her research has taken her to Australia, Hong Kong and Jersey. She was thanked by Heather Kingman.
