Good luck to John Reynolds, from Westfield, who will be setting off on his hardest running challenge to date this Friday, 1st September.

At 7 a.m., John will be heading off to run 250 miles in just 2.5 days. After months of deliberation, analysing countless maps and wondering if it is possible to physically achieve, he has decided to go ahead with another record run.

It will be the equivalent of running nineteen half marathons, non-stop in sixty hours with food and drink being either passed from a car or from other runners.

John will be promoting Westfield TT, the local running group which he founded and is going from strength to strength. Many of his runners also take part in the Bath Half Marathon for Time is Precious, which John is a Patron of.

The record-breaking run will also back up talks that John has been giving to local schools to encourage sport and physical fitness and he aims to show that sometimes, what may seem impossible to achieve can become a reality. Twelve years ago, John had to retrain himself to walk following complications from radiotherapy due to a thyroid condition.

Good luck John, we’re all cheering you on!
