Radstock Town Council invites you to attend a debate on the potential for a railway in the town. The event will take place on Monday, 27th January in the Methodist Church Hall, Radstock, at 7 p.m.
Cllr Lesley Mansell, Chair of the Council, said: "There has been a continuing call to reinstate the railway, despite the potential cost of over £40 million and the annual
running costs of around £1.3 million. This event will be looking at the possibilities from all angles."
Guests speakers include Colin Maggs, who will cover historical aspects, and Olly Wise, from First Great Western, who has much experience in the heritage of the rail industry.
Radstock residents requested a debate on rail provision in Radstock. The aim of the evening is to offer a forum to look at areas relevant to reinstating the railway, which will include history, heritage and funding.
