ReWired Dance are pleased to be celebrating the first ever Summer School which is provided to children in Midsomer Norton and the surrounding areas completely free of charge – and with some very special guests.

ReWired Dance is a newly formed Community Dance Group set up by Jenna Morgan, Sarah Johnson, Nicola Phippen-Holcombe, Paul Morgan and Laura Arthur – five parents from the local area who wanted to see positive change in the community.

The dance lessons are not only affordable, but also accessible to all children regardless of ability. ReWired Dance prides itself on being an open, honest and nurturing environment for children Key Stage 2 and above.

Since the first lesson held coming out of lockdown it has been a roaring success and the group have been extremely lucky to secure some incredible funding from local sponsors.

The first sponsor to come on board was Maxem Eyewear based at Westfield Trading Estate, who provided all of the children with t-shirts to dance in.

Riverside Cleaning Contractors have kindly donated to provide free funding space to families on lower incomes. The third sponsor, Marleygold Hampers, bought an AirTrack for the children to train on.

A big thank you also to sponsors Carmen Contractors and GemSec, who are helping with running costs. The final sponsor, P E

Services, is paying for the cost of the Summer School.

ReWired Dance have been extremely lucky to secure this funding, not only to enable them to run the Summer School completely free of charge, but have also managed to secure one of the best dance teachers in the industry, professional dancer, choreographer and Creative Director, Leighton Rees.

Leighton Rees began dancing in his hometown of Cardiff, where he was self taught and then went on to train in London, Los Angeles and across Europe.
