A very Egg-citing time was had by children of all ages at the Messy Easter event at St John’s Church in Chilcompton.
The sun shone as children and their families hunted for Easter eggs, made edible Easter gardens, created Easter cards and rolled eggs in paint. The creativity was followed by an energetic celebration time that included singing, and
storytime. The children learnt the Easter message and helped to bring it to life themselves by using Emojis.
Many of the children were involved in creating an Eggs-traordinary wall display from two pence coins, this will be on display for all to see in St John’s church hall this Easter time.
A buffet tea of sandwiches, sausages, cakes and hot cross buns finished the afternoon off nicely. As did the bags of chocolate eggs that each child took home!
The next chance to join in the fun and get Messy at St John’s in Chilcompton will be on May 21st at 3 p.m. where we will be exploring the story of Noah.
