On Saturday, 16th April, Radstock Knitters took 22 knitted blankets to the Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

The blankets were knitted and donated by the group, with 75% of them being made by Gay Pullover, pictured above.

Radstock Knitters regularly donate blankets to animals in need of rehoming, as well as other charitable efforts around the area.

Currently, they are working on a number of projects, including, crocheting daisies for the Daisy Bear Brain Tumour Research Appeal, as well as making dog coats for Mutts with Friends, hats and scarfs for the Seaman’s Mission, bed jackets and twiddle muffs for the RUH, baby jumpers and cardigans for the Help me to Help Gambia campaign. They also plan to donate more blankets to the Cats and Dogs home and to create a giant wreath, which will hopefully be displayed on the Miner’s Wheel in Radstock.

If anyone would like more information on joining the group at the Methodist Church in Radstock, they can email Jenny Prowse at: [email protected], find the team on Facebook by searching Radstock Knitters or call 07963 250001.
