What a disastrous week for Purnell Men’s teams, It started on Tuesday when they hosted “Bath “in the “Turnbull cup “ and lost heavily.

Thankfully there was no MSL on Wednesday but the poor run continued on to Saturday with the’A’ team losing 1-11 at home to Clevedon ‘A’, the ‘B’ team losing 12-0 away at Prattens and the ‘C’ losing 10-2 away at Knowle ‘B’, It can only get better.

Luckily, our Ladies saved the clubs blushes with a 12-0 win at home to Frome park on Tuesday, and another 12-0 win away at Weston Bath on Thursday. Well done ladies.

The youngsters continue to show how it should be done, the county under 18’s singles were held at St Andrew’s on Sunday with Chloe Holmes’s who plays at Norwest, but is coached at Purnells winning with Purnells Cameron Bowen in runner up spot. A massive well done to both.

A reminder that the indoor season starts at Purnell bowls club in September.
