Private sector landlords in B&NES are being warned to check that their rental property meets the legal minimum energy efficiency standard, or risk a fine of up to £5,000 per property.
B&NES Council is responsible for enforcing Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations and a new campaign will see trading standards and housing services working together to identify properties that do not have an Energy Performance Certificate of at least band E.
