OVER the past year, the small but mighty membership of Clutton Trefoil Guild has raised an impressive £1,163 to support the vital work of the local air ambulance service.

The Guild’s fundraising efforts included a popular sales table at monthly meetings, alongside a special “Tea and Cake afternoon” that attracted many local residents and helped to boost contributions.

At their most recent meeting, Daniel Hanley-Shearing from the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAA) attended to receive the cheque. He spoke briefly about the essential and often life-saving role played by the local Air Ambulance service, which provides emergency medical assistance to people across the county.

The Clutton Trefoil Guild is open to individuals aged 18 and over, with no prior guiding experience necessary. The group provides opportunities to develop new skills, engage in community activities, and support local Girlguiding initiatives. Members enjoy regular meetings where they can socialise, learn, and contribute to causes that matter in their community.

Those interested in joining the Guild or learning more about its activities are invited to contact Lynne at [email protected]

Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at St Peter’s Church, Westfield, Radstock.
