Midsomer Norton High Street will be alive with the sound of sleigh bells and singing when Somer Valley FM stages its Eclectic Christmas Show this Thursday, 14th December.

Between 10 a.m. and midday, the radio station will broadcast a special festive edition of its Eclectic Selection show live from the lawns in front of the appropriately named Hollies. The free Christmas performance will star the renowned Vocal Works Gospel Choir from Bath, singing an inspirational seasonal selection, as well as a choir from Somervale School.

Guests include local children’s story author, Jimmy Griggs, representatives from Barnardo’s and Children’s Society charities, Somer Valley Food Bank, plus tutor, Michele from the All Instruments music shop with her own Christmas tunes. Many other local traders will also welcome Somer Valley FM in this ambitious live broadcast.

Presenter, Rob Bayly, said: “I’m really looking forward to taking the show out of the studio at this special time of year. There will be a great festive atmosphere, which we hope will come across on the radio, as well as the crowd enjoying the free entertainment as they shop.”
