Writhlington’s Dragonfly Theatre will feature a very special guest on Sunday, 15th October, hosting an evening with Hazel O’Connor, brought to the local area by Rastock Live! which is committed to providing live events for the local area from big names.
The prominent singer/ songwriter and actress first found fame in the 1980s and will now be coming to Writhlington alongside Clare Hirst on saxophone, who has played for Bellestars, Communards and David Bowie and Sarah Fisher on Keyboards (Eurythmics).
The superb blend of the three voices and stunning musicianship will add a sweet touch of class to their vibrant performance. Live onstage, Hazel’s unforgettable songs from the iconic film Breaking Glass, which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary, including Eighth Day, Will You, Big Brother, If Only and more, seem even more relevant in our present times.
Expect a soulful introspective dip into Hazel’s stunning portfolio, the old and the new. A sumptuous night of some of the greatest songs of the 20th century, delivered with passion and fire. With a special ‘Meet and Greet’ immediately after the show, you are in for a treat!
