The next series of popular Lunchtime Concerts in St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton, start on Wednesday, 13th September.

Well-known local singer, Vivienne Moon, will launch the Autumn Series, followed by the ever-popular Somer Valley Singers on Wednesday, 20th. We are once again delighted that the prestigious musicians of Wells Cathedral School will showcase some of their talent on Wednesday, 27th.

The concerts continue into October, when we will be welcoming a new recitalist. Sara Foster, soprano, accompanied by Gary Desmond, will perform on Wednesday, 4th October, followed by an organ recital by Jim Williams onWednesday, 11th. A concert by musicians of Somervale School will take place on Wednesday, 18th, and the concerts will conclude with the U3A Choir on Wednesday, 25th.

Whilst there is no charge for the concerts, we do rely heavily on the generosity of patrons’ donations to maintain the magni?cently restored Parish Church.

Doors open at 12 noon for the sale of delicious refreshments, and all concerts start at 12.30 p.m, and last around an hour. Attendees are urged to feel free to come and go as time allows, or meet friends for co?ee and a musical treat.
