Age UK B&NES has organised a series of events during May at The Hub in the Pub at Chew Stoke.
The Hub is open every Wednesday and offers a friendly, social environment to get involved in the activities, have a cup of tea and meet other older people.
Sessions include: Art and Craft group, 1.30 p.m.–3.30 p.m.,18th May, Gadget Busters – Get help with your laptop, iPad or tablet 1.30 p.m.– 3.30 p.m., 25th May.
Other activities organised by local charity Age UK B&NES include Tai Chi every Friday at the Millennium Hall 11.30 a.m.–12.30 p.m. and regular walks around the area on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
The local charity is still keen to hear from people who could volunteer some time to support its work. Volunteer Walk Leaders, IT Supporters, Cook and Eat Assistant are all urgently needed.
Age UK B&NES is also keen to hear form anyone interested in getting involved with the Hub in a Pub, perhaps coming along to talk about and share their hobbies and interests.
