THE Mendip Male Voice Choir held an emotional last rehearsal with musical director Jamie Knights on Monday, March 25.
Jamie stood down after eleven successful and enjoyable years. The choir’s new musical director is Kate Courage. They both conducted the choir simultaneously for one of the numbers.
After a shortened rehearsal, everyone retired to Timsbury Royal British Legion for a presentation to Jamie and refreshments.
Kate takes over for the summer term rehearsals which are held every Monday from 7.30pm at St Mary’s School Timsbury. New members are always welcome. Upcoming concerts are as follows:

- Saturday, 29th June, 7 pm with Chippenham MVC at St Stephens Church, Lansdown, Bath
- Saturday, 13th July, 4:30 pm with SWALLOW at St Nicholas Church, Radstock
- Friday, 19th July, 7:30 pm MMVC Annual Summer Concert at Midsomer Norton Methodist Church
- Saturday, 14th September, 7pm with Mousehole MVC at All Saints, Weston, Bath
