A Mendip restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
The Almshouse Tea Shop, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at The Old Almshouse, Moorland Street, Axbridge was given the maximum score after assessment on April 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
It means that of Mendip's 918 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 760 (83%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
