THE team Bath AS swimming squads based in Midsomer Norton celebrated its first anniversary by hosting a race night for its swimmers.

The club, based at the University of Bath, partnered with Dragonfly Leisure last September to set up four new squads in Midsomer Norton.

During their first year, the team won the Midsomer Norton Town Council Civic Award for Community Youth Group of the Year, having been deemed to have made a difference in the local community.

At the event, the mayor of Midsomer Norton, Cllr Martyn Plant, had came to visit in order to watch the swimmers in action, as well as speak to the parents, volunteers, and coaching team at Team Bath AS.
