Residents and businesses have been told by Bristol Water this week that as part of the Linden Homes development in Radstock, the company will need to undertake ten weeks of work on Somervale Road and Frome Road, Radstock, beginning on 20th July.
The work will involve the installation of 1.3km of trunk main being fitted and the company states that although other routes were considered, Somervale Road has been considered the best for future access to the pipe.
Work will be carried out in small sections, with four way traffic lights at the double mini roundabout, three way lights used at the Co-op entrance and the Welton Road junction, and two way lights for the remainder of the route.

Radstock has been no stranger to severe delays in recent months and, indeed, years, with the renewal of the sewers in the town by Wessex Water and now the road and building works in the town. Motorists in Midsomer Norton continue to experience long delays as new gas pipes are installed along Silver Street and after work at St Chad's Avenue, these will be moving with a four week road closure due, also beginning on 20th July, from the Stones Cross roundabout to the junction of Welton Vale.
