Daring mother and daughter, Karen and Regan Kittlety, from Radstock, completed a skydive on June 5th, raising £1,414.20 in aid of the Great Western Air Ambulance. Inspired by a friend and her daughter’s fundraising for the same cause, the pair travelled to Swindon to take on the challenge.

Karen said: “I never imagined I would be throwing myself out of a plane! Would I do it again? Um ... Regan’s words as she landed were – “I’d do it again in a heartbeat!” Maybe it’s an age thing!”

Funds were raised by holding a cake sale and raffle, as well as personal donations that the pair received. Local businesses dug deep and provided amazing raffle prizes and Karen and Regan would like to thank everyone that contributed. It costs around £1,000 every time the helicopter takes off and the service is completely funded by charity donations.
