Avon and Somerset Police have received reports of vehicles speeding at various locations around Chilcompton.

This is a residential area, where all vehicles should drive with care and consideration for the safety of the neighbourhood. To assist in dealing with this problem, a local Community Speedwatch Group with committed volunteers give up a small amount of time each month to help deter speeding drivers in and around the village.

The local group is always looking for new volunteers from the village and surrounding area to assist in this worthwhile scheme at their eleven approved sites within the village. Speedwatch schemes are fully approved by Avon and Somerset Police. The commitment is small, but the effect you will have on drivers is great.
