Bath and North East Somerset council are hoping to change speed limits on some roads in Timsbury.

In a press release, they said: "Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of road shown in schedule 1 to this notice and the lengths of road shown in schedule 2 to this notice are removed from that schedule."

The schedules are as follows:

Schedule 1 - new 20mph speed limit zones

Schedule 2 - new 30mph speed limit zones

North Road From a point 70 meters east of its junction with Bloomfield Road for a distance of 143 meters in a westerly direction.
The Avenue From a point 18 meters north west of its junction with Somerset Folly to its junction with North Road.

Local residents can comment on the proposed limits. These must be sent in writing or via email to the Traffic Management Team together with the grounds on which they are made by 7th March 2023.
