Midsomer Norton and District Carnival Association will be raising money to help fund the annual event with a night of musical entertainment. President’s Night will be a great evening of the very best local music, featuring popular band, The Sneakers and talented soloist, Harriet Brixey, held at Midsomer Norton Town Hall from 7 p.m. until late on Saturday, 6th May.

Midsomer Norton and District Carnival Association President, Steve Collins, who has been Chair of the charity for the past ten years before handing over the reins to newly-appointed Chairman, Steve Cooper, will be hosting the night’s entertainment.

He said: “We will be raising money on the night to support Midsomer Norton’s Illuminated Carnival, the largest and most glittering event in the area.

“Our fundraiser is all set to be a spectacular night of truly local music for a great local charity, held in the very heart of the town, and if that’s not enough to make you want to purchase your ticket, we’ll also have a bar and some food.”

There will be performances from The Sneakers, a legendary local band with a passion for lively performances of the very best sixties music, and talented singer, Harriet Brixey, who is known to those with a love of carnival through her performances at the prestigious Bridgwater Concert series.

Every penny of the ticket price will be going towards helping to fund the carnival on Monday, November 13th.

Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Midsomer Norton and District Carnival Association website by following the link: http://www.illuminatedcarnival.co.uk/presidents-night-great-local-music/ and will also be available on the night.
