A new public access defibrillator has been installed at Beacon Hall, Peasedown St John, funded by the Parish Council.

It will be available 24-hours a day in the event of an emergency in the vicinity of Beacon Hall and field, and will be accessed with a code which will be given by the ambulance service once a 999 call is made.

Cllr Andrew Larcombe, Chair of the Parish Council’s Finance and Amenities Committee, said: “We are very pleased to be able to provide this equipment for residents to use when needed.

“Although the defibrillator is designed so that it can be operated without any formal training, we also hope to be able to provide a free session in Beacon Hall for interested local residents and regular hirers to attend. Details will be provided on our noticeboards and Facebook page in due course.”
