Radstock Museum has produced a new 28-page colour illustrated Souvenir Guide, which provides an historical account of the exhibits in the Museum and their context in the North Somerset Coalfield area.
It covers not only coal mining and the lifestyle of miners and their families, but also provides brief histories of the local Co-operative
Society, the Methodist Church, the coal canal and railways, schools and other local industries. It has information on how you can support the Museum and become involved in its activities.
At the same time the Museum has also launched a free, monthly online newsletter to keep everyone informed of its exhibitions programme, new acquisitions and family activities. To register for this free newsletter, just Google Radstock Museum and follow the instructions on the website.
