Kids are in for an extra special N’Fest Holiday Club this summer as the annual free event moves from its usual home at Somervale School to YouTube. The “N’Fest under the sea” themed videos will be streaming live each morning at 10:00 a.m. from Monday-Friday August 24-28.

N’fest usually depends on an enthusiastic group of around 80 volunteers from Welton Baptist Church and this year has seen the same dedication in order to bring the ever popular mix of drama, games, crafts, singing, stories and pies to the screen!

People are being encouraged to sign up soon as the team will be delivering free parcels containing T-Shirts, crafts, experiments, games, pens and much more to the first 250 children aged 4-11yrs registered by Thursday August 13.

Event coordinator Jenni Ring said: “Our church team were all feeling pretty fed up in the middle of lockdown and really disappointed at the prospect for the first time ever of not being able to run N’Fest. So, we got together on zoom and decided to redouble our efforts. We shared our plans with the church, suggested a bigger budget in order to create gift parcels and everyone was on board. I’ve been delighted by the response of the whole team as they’ve been busy planning, preparing, filming, editing...there’s too much to mention it all. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic week”.
