Every year, the family of local resident, Viv Lane, hold a charity night in her memory with the determined aim to continue what she started.
All money raised goes to Dorothy House Hospice Care, who were wonderful, not only in helping Viv, but other members of the family, too. We would like to say a big thank you to Claire Horn and the team at Paulton Rovers for letting us hold yet another successful event free of charge.
Also a huge thank you to local band, Doghouse, supported by a great disco by Wayne Roberts and his son, Kieran (NU2), which had everyone enjoying the night, laughing and dancing away.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gemma Button for organising the
raffle, which included some amazing prizes, Lane Air/Bracey Electrical Ltd, Gemma Rodd for her donations, Osprey London, Mulberry, Pandora, Nicky Price at ‘Our Plaice’, Mandy Brown at Lido Chef Takeaway, Audi, Hamburger Hill, Auntie Rene Wareham, Annabel More, Mark Saunders, for your donation, Nadine Tranter at Midsummer Tanning, Morrisons, Bristol Hippodrome, Victoria Legg, Mobile Holistic Massage Therapist, Go Ape, Yankee Candles, Writhlington Leisure Centre, Five Guys, Aqua Restaurant, Chiquitos, TGI Friday, Frazers and many more. Thank you, Sara Phillips, from Dorothy House.
A big thank you to Demi Lane, Connie Lane, Emma Lane Sharon Higgins/Atwell, Sally Higgins, Deb Rodd and Jayne Archer for preparing such a great selection of food.
Finally, another big thank you to Court Lane, Gemma Button, Gemma Rodd, Liam Lane, Jade Kingman, Demi Lane and Yaz Lane for deocrating the hall in the 80s and 70s theme.
The total amount raised was a fantastic £2,743.26 and we are all excited for next year’s party for more fun and laughs! We hope to see you all there again.
The Lane Family
