A large turnout of residents attended the Play Day held at Beacon Field on Friday, 26th July.

Bath Area Play Project were able to put on the event, using a £500 community grant from Peasedown St John Parish Council.

Parish Councillor, Andy Larcombe, Chair of the Finance and Amenities Committee, attended the event and said: “I am pleased to see so many people here enjoying the activities and having fun. This type of event really demonstrates the benefit the Parish Council grant scheme can have on the community. We hope to continue to be able to support such events in the future.”

Cllr John Bailey added: “The event is not just for young people, but for their families, too. The play days give somewhere for parents and grandparents to bring the children and provides opportunity to play and to socialise with other families. It is important to provide such activities during the school holidays.”

Bath Area Play Project will be holding play days throughout the summer at various locations within the area. More details can be found at: www.bapp.org.uk
