AN intrepid pensioner took to the pool in a fundraising Swimathon in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

After reaching the grand age of 80 Margaret Johnson decided to undertake the fundraising swim at Paulton Pool to raise money for the charity after losing one of the regular swimmers from her weekly dip to Parkinson’s.

The 80-year old swam one mile (88 lengths) of Paulton Pool raising a substantial amount for Parkinson's UK.
