The Post Office is planning to relocate Paulton Post Office to The Co-operative, 4-5 Hill Court, Paulton, BS39 7QG, to safeguard service to the area.

Post Office services will be provided from a Post Office counter alongside the retail counter. The opening hours will be Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 5.30 p.m; Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

The current postmaster has resigned and the premises at 6 Hill Court, Paulton, BS39 7QG will no longer be available for Post Office use after Wednesday, 16th October.

The new branch is scheduled to open on Friday, 25th October at 1 p.m. During the interim period, alternative branches will include High Littleton Post Office, High Street, High Littleton, BS39 6JD or Midsomer Norton Post Office, 122b High Street, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2HU.

A spokesperson for the Radstock Co-operative Society said: “We are pleased to be able to accommodate a Post Office counter within our Paulton store ensuring the local community continues to have access to much-needed services.”

Adam Williams, Post Office Multiples Account Executive, said: “We are delighted to safeguard Post Office service to the area. We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

“The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a public consultation and we are looking for feedback about accessibility, local community issues and anything that we can do to make life easier for our customers.”
