On Saturday, 1st July, at 2 p.m. Paulton resident and television presenter, Martin Roberts, will open what promises to be another wonderful Party in the village’s Memorial Park. Entry is free.
The event has something for everyone, with displays of dancing, martial arts, tennis and netball during the afternoon, visits by classic and vintage cars and goats and music by the Paulton Band. There will be stalls, an exhibition of work by local artists, a penalty shoot-out competition, and more, plus refreshments will be provided. Tea and cakes will be served in the Village Hall.
Local bands, Hard Shoulder and Parfanon, will play in the evening at 5.15 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. respectively.
George Batchelar, Chair of the organising committee, said: “We have a programme that combines some old favourites with new attractions and we believe everyone will throughly enjoy this Party as they have done in the past.”
