Award-winning housebuilder Backhouse has broken ground at its latest residential scheme in Midsomer Norton.
Operations Director Wayne Cole and head of design, Tim Baldwin, joined Backhouse’s Site Manager, Jasmine Sommers, to officially mark the start of
construction on site.
Backhouse will build a mix of 40 two, three and four bedroom new homes, including 12 affordable units. The properties will be characterised by the housebuilder’s approach to design in partnership with acclaimed regional architects, Clifton Emery Design.

The new residential development, situated close to Midsomer Norton’s new primary school, was approved earlier this year by B&NES Council. Wayne Cole, Operations Director at Backhouse, commented: “We’re delighted to break ground at our stunning Midsomer Norton site. This Backhouse scheme, which has already received high levels of local interest, will include homes to suit a range of buyers including first time buyers, second steppers, families and downsizers.”
