Road Traffic Notice – A36 Claverton
National Highways has made a temporary traffic order on the A36 in Bath and North East Somerset so that repairs can be carried out safely on the retaining wall and associated maintenance works.
The work is expected to start on or after January 5 and be finished by December 31.
During the work, a 30 mph speed limit will be in place in both directions on the A36 between 200 metres north of Brassknocker Hill junction and 450 metres south of Hantone Hill junction.
The speed limit will not apply to emergency or special forces vehicles and will be clearly shown with traffic signs.
The order will take effect from January 3 and can last for up to 18 months.

Bath City Centre – proposed traffic changes
Bath and North East Somerset Council plans to introduce new traffic arrangements in central Bath. This includes segregated cycle lanes in both directions and changes to loading and parking along parts of Green Park Road, Charles Street, New King Street, Monmouth Street, Princess Street, Beauford Square, Barton Street, Upper Borough Walls, Parsonage Lane, Bridge Street, High Street and Grand Parade.
