Cub Scouts from Wansdyke district gathered for their annual Monopoly Challenge.

Each young person played two games lasting three-quarters of an hour.

The person who has accumulated the most money at the end is the winner.

Rowan, from Radstock, was the winner, with £7,794; Owen, from Clutton, came second with £6,243, and Flynn, from High

Littleton, third with £6,198.

All the cubs enjoyed themselves and Rowan said: “It’s brilliant to be the winner!”

A great deal of auctioning took place with some very hefty bids on occasions. The Cub Scouts have been using Monopoly as a very good, fun way of explaining to young people how money works.
