This Easter weekend, why not head out on a family-focused, all-abilities-friendly trail around the town centre?
In association with Radstock Girl’s and Boy’s Brigade, Radstock Baptist Church have set up an outdoor adventure for the community.
Following clues and led by a simple map, each station of the trail features a different part of the Easter story.
Starting from the car park on Somervale Road, by the Greenway and local park – and finishing up at the Baptist Church where children will be invited to collect a small Easter gift, the trail takes explorers around the town centre.
As well as looking out for the different clues and stations, the trail also meanders via plenty of ‘free-range children-friendly’ sites like the Greenway, the Memorial Garden and towards the river.
“This lockdown has felt harder than the last one, and I think we are all running low on ideas to help us engage with, and enjoy our time,” said Kerin Adam, Families Worker at the Baptist Church and one of the leaders of both Girl’s and Boy’s Brigade.
“We hope that this Easter trail can provide our local community with a fun way to spend some time this Bank Holiday, and to learn more about why we celebrate Easter itself.”
The trail will be up between 2nd and 5th April, and maps can be found at the Baptist Church and the Radstock Hub (by the library car park).
