Radstock Town Council has announced that this year’s annual town meeting will feature a key update on the progress of the Radstock Neighbourhood Plan.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8, from 6.30pm at Trinity Hub. The Neighbourhood Plan is an important tool that, once adopted, has legal standing in the planning system. It gives town and parish councils the opportunity to shape future development based on the priorities of local residents.

The plan is being prepared by a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers who make up the Neighbourhood Planning Group.

At the meeting, residents will be invited to complete an engagement questionnaire, providing feedback on various areas of the draft plan. The questionnaire will also be available at Radstock Library and Community Hub or online at www.radstock-tc.gov.uk.

Chair of the Neighbourhood Planning Group, Councillor Simon de Beer, said: “The Neighbourhood Plan is our chance to take control of Radstock’s future — and we want it to reflect the values and vision of the whole community. We invite everyone to come along, learn more, and have their say.”

In addition to the Neighbourhood Plan update, the annual town meeting will provide an opportunity for members of the public to hear from town councillors, local organisations, and community partners.

Reports will be presented on the council’s activities over the past year, including financial matters and key projects, and attendees will be invited to ask questions, raise concerns, and share ideas to help shape priorities for the coming year. Light refreshments will be provided, and all residents are warmly encouraged to attend.
