Children across the school wanted somewhere to enjoy books whilst outside at break times and lunchtimes.

On World Book Day, the project was launched and on Tuesday, 7th June the two reading areas, one in Key Stage One and one Key Stage Two, were officially opened.

Mrs Michelle Venn, an illustrator, author and parent of the school shared her books with the children and then officially opened both the reading areas.

Mrs Croker, Head of School, said: “This has been a fantastic project. The School Council have worked hard to listen to the voice of all children in the school and have designed two fantastic areas for outdoor reading. There is a real buzz about reading and everyone is really excited to start using them!”
