Congratulations to Pine Court resident, Fred Smith, from Radstock, who celebrated his 103rd birthday last Wednesday, 5th September. A surprise party was organised by Fred's carer, Barbara, who invited other residents and friends along to the party, along with representatives from Curo, formally Somer, who provide the housing.
Remarkably, Mr Smith still drives and is very independent. He was born in 1909 and originally from Richmond, Surrey, serving in Burma during WW2. The residents at Pine Court enjoy a coffee morning every Tuesday and fish and chips on Fridays, with various other events taking place during the year.
