Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 9am October 24 to 3pm October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Claverton to Limpley Stoke two-way signals for carriageway repair.

A36, from 9.30am to 4pm on October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Claverton traffic lights for tree works.

A36, from 8am November 6 to 5.30pm November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Bathampton to Monkton Combe. 2-way signals for survey works.

A4, from 10pm November 6 to 6am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton Roundabout to London Road Roundabout carriageway closed for maintenance, diversion A420, A350, A4.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
