Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 6am March 1 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both direction Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 8pm July 9 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal, diversion northbound, via A361, A350 and A4, Reverse for southbound.

A36, from 8pm July 9 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal, diversion northbound, via A361, A350 and A4, Reverse for southbound.

A4, from 7pm July 13 to 6am July 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 Both Directions London Road to Cold Ashton carriageway closure for inspections, diversion via A4, A350 and A420. Reverse for southbound.

A46, from 6am July 14 to 8pm July 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 Both Directions London Road to Cold Ashton contraflow and lane closure for inspections.

A36, from 9am July 14 to 3pm August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Beckington, rolling stop and go boards for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
