Drivers in and around Mendip will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

A36, from 9am December 5 to 6pm December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound, White Row Farm to Woolverton lane closure for tree removal.

A36, from 9am to 3pm on December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 southbound, Trowbridge Rd Rbt (A361) to Warminster Rd Rbt (A361) lane closure for electrical works.

A36, from 8pm December 7 to 5am December 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Woolverton to Beckington - two-Way signals for Horticulture works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
