Somer Valley Rotary have been at it again; whilst visiting her local bank, Jackie, this year’s President, overheard a fellow customer chatting to the cashier about how difficult it has been to raise funds for the Poly Tunnel at her child’s school, St Benedict’s, Midsomer Norton.

Since it was erected during the pandemic, raising money to install an irrigation system and to get the plant stock in to start their growing calendar has not been easy.

Along with many others, Somer Valley Rotary have donated a cheque for £100 to give them a helping hand.

The Reception Class have already enjoyed the fruits of their labour. The additional learning space in the tunnel has been very well received in showing the children how plants grow and where some healthy snacks come from, along with plotting the growth of the plants.
