After being told by weather experts to expect a wintry event, snow came to the area last Friday, 1st February, leaving many of us at home and unable to travel – making for an extra long weekend of snowman building, sledging and even wild swimming. Brrrr!! Here’s some of our wonderful readers’ photographs, as they share what they were up to last weekend.
Snowy start to February for local area

Snow did not stop the Wiltshire Wild Swimmers, who were up for their regular 8 a.m. dip at Farleigh Hungerford. The group swim every Sunday at 8 a.m., and also have other swims during the week. They can be found on Facebook under Wiltshire Wild Swimmers. On Sunday, they reported the air temperature was -8, and the water was a balmy two degrees!
