Earlier this month, Bishop Michael visited St John's Church of England Primary School, where he spent time with the pupils, including the Ethos Group, a team of students who assist in leading the school’s collective worship and preparing parish intercessions for family services.
During his visit, Bishop Michael participated in a collective worship session, where he learned about the school’s 300-year history.
A highlight of the visit was the blessing of a specially commissioned stained-glass window, which was installed in 2021 to commemorate the school's 300th anniversary.
The children expressed their joy at the bishop’s visit, with one student remarking on how special it was that he led them in prayer at the end of the day.
