Star Wars fans are invited to celebrate forty years of the legendary sci-fi film series with a special celebration at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Saturday, 20th May – with the main event of the evening being a screening of the latest film in the franchise, Rogue One.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. where thanks to some of the country’s top cosplayers, ticket holders can meet characters from the films and take photographs.
The celebrations include original Star Wars artworks to view and buy, displays of memorabilia to explore and a range of activities. Short Star Wars-inspired films will be shown before the main feature, a screening of the new epic-adventure Rogue One – A Star Wars Story at 7.30 p.m.
In a time of conflict, the film follows the group of unlikely heroes who band
together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
All screenings feature cinema quality HD projection on the big screen with full surround sound and comfy cinema seating.
