The Theatre Royal Bath has announced the beneficiaries from the second year of its Creative Fund, naming Radstock-based SWALLOW as one of the organisations that will benefit.

SWALLOW is one of nine organisations named in the second year of the initiative and will receive a grant from the theatre’s Creative Fund. The cheque was handed to them by Glastonbury founder, Michael Eavis, at a presentation ceremony in Bath. The money is to go towards a year long programme of multi media workshops and outdoor performances.

The other organisations that will benefit include the Theatre Bath Theatre Bus, Changing Tunes, The Rondo Theatre, the Mead Academy Trust, Bath Film Festival, Trowbridge Town Hall Youth Arts, Bath Abbey and Bowlish Infant School.

In a statement on their website, Theatre Royal Bath’s Director, Danny Moar, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed once again with the interest in the Creative Fund, and thrilled that we have been able to support arts development in Bath and the surrounding area for a second year. We look forward to working with these successful organisations over the next twelve months, as they continue to enhance provision for the Arts across the amateur, professional and community spectrum.”
